me....
My name is Martha Ellis Taylor, I was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1990 and attended Clemson University for both my B.A. Arch. and M. Arch. degrees.
While attending Clemson University I was able to participate in many unique projects and experiences. During undergrad, I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and participated in a summer design studio in New York City. My study abroad experiences strengthened my love of architecture and bolstered my own design philosophies. I was also able to be a part of three different design build projects, two of which I organized and lead [the Mobile Beer Lab and Clemson Centennial Exhibit]. In addition, I was a member of the winning 2010 Regional Design Build Competition Team for Clemson University and was a Research Assistant for Dr. Keith Green in his Architecture and Robotics Lab. Outside of architecture; I was a Climbing Club Officer and did extensive graphic work for local and national climbing competitions.
I am currently working as a Graduate Architect at Kennon|Calhoun Workshop in Nashville Tennessee and am loving every minute of professional life.
My experiences at Clemson University were, needless to say, diverse and challenging. Yet, I would not trade my time here for anything. Clemson allowed me to shape myself into the designer I am today, and I look forward to growing as an architect in the professional world.
