For this year, we decided to crate an interactive art piece. We used the answers from the previous year “What is Nashville” and turned the most popular into stamps: boots, hot chicken, music, sports, and athens-of-the-south. We then asked people to “Paint the Town” and had them dip the stamps in paint and stamp a board we have masked off with the skyline of Nashville.
For this instillation, we won the “Most Creative” Golden Cone Award

For our parklet, we decided to turn it into a “Bark-Let”. We partnered with a local rescue, Proverbs 12:10 Rescue, to create a tiny dog park for the day. We designed and built the dog park and 2 dog houses while the recuse provided adoptable puppies. At the end of the day, we donated the dog houses to be auctioned off as a fund raiser for the rescue.
This parklet one the special “Golden Bone” award, sponsored by Mars PetCare who also participated in Parking Day that year.
